Our Mission:

Whisper Community aims to provide equitable access to youth sport participation for athletes in Southwest Washington by helping families overcome financial barriers that inhibit participation.

 

Why our mission matters:

Children from economically challenged households often face financial barriers that limit may limit sport participation. By reducing these barriers, Whisper Community expands access to the physical, mental, and social benefits of youth sports, helping young athletes build confidence, resilience, and stronger academic outcomes.

 

We Achieve Our Goal by:

  • The Everybody Runs! grant sponsors athletes in a plethora of ways, which may include providing equipment, subsidizing travel, or helping with registration expenses.

  • The Whisper Community grant supports local school and club teams by subsidizing expenses such as services, uniforms, equipment, travel, and more.

  • The Senior Scholarship supports graduating athletes who have exemplified Whisper Community’s values of sportsmanship and community.
